Lesson 1 - What is Roleplay

Roleplay also known as RP. Means literally, playing in a a certain role.

My name is Drake Heros and I am your teacher/sensei for the next few lessons.

So to continue about RP. You act like a person inside a story. Just like a movie or book. But then it isn't sure what happens and you control your own actions.

There are many forms of roleplay. Like;

LARP - Life Action Role Playing. You get dressed in special clothing and fight with latex made swords.

RPG - Role Playing Game. Mostly known as the games for the game consoles like, Playstation, Nintendo, GameCube, GameBoy, X-Box, etc.

MMORPG - Multi Massive Online Role Playing Game. Also known games like World of Warcraft, Runescape, Ragnarok Online, etc.

And there are many more forms. But we will just use the text-based RolePlaying on this forum. We type what we speak and do as our own character.

Up to our next lesson. We have a lot to learn before you really will be able to begin.
